Sofa covers, cushions and upholstery
सोफा कवर, कुशन और अपहोल्स्ट्रीA sofa cover is bought twice: once for the cloth and once for the fit. Loose covers off a shelf sag at the arms within a month. What we sell instead is cloth by the metre, measured against your own sofa and stitched to it.
The upholstery counter sits alongside the curtain counter, which is deliberate. Most customers who recover a sofa are also changing the pardas, and the two fabrics are easier to settle together than six weeks apart.

Choosing the cloth
Upholstery cloth is judged on three things, in this order: how it takes daily sitting, how it takes cleaning, and how it looks. Most people reverse that order at the counter and regret it in the second year.
- Cotton and cotton blends — breathable and comfortable in a Nimar summer, which matters on a sofa you actually sit on for hours. Shows marks sooner than synthetic.
- Jacquard — the pattern is woven in rather than printed, so it does not fade off the surface. The usual choice for a drawing room set.
- Velvet — heavy, formal, and warm to sit on. Good for a rarely-used front room, less so for the family sofa.
- Synthetic blends — the practical answer where there are small children. Wipes clean, resists staining, and costs less to redo.
Bring a photograph of the sofa on your phone, and if you can, a cushion from it. Matching against the actual piece is quicker than matching against a description.
Measured and stitched at your home
Sofa covers are one of the few things we finish outside the shop. You pick the cloth at the counter on Jawahar Marg; we come to the house, measure the frame, and stitch the covers to fit it. There is no charge for the measurement visit and no obligation to order after it.
The same visit covers curtains and blinds if you are doing the room together. Tell us on the call how many windows and whether the sofa is a three-plus-two or an L, so we bring the right samples.
Foam, and why the grade matters
A sofa that has gone soft is usually a foam problem, not a cloth problem. Recovering it without changing the foam buys you a better-looking sofa that is still uncomfortable.
We keep foam in all densities. HR foam holds its shape under daily use and is what most seat cushions should be; softer grades belong in back cushions and scatter pieces. Tell us how the sofa is used and we will tell you which grade to put where rather than selling you the thickest sheet on the shelf.
Also on this side of the shop
Sofa covers sit inside the wider home furnishing counter. If you are furnishing a room rather than fixing one piece, the curtains, blinds and wallpaper page covers the rest of it, and kalin, dari and rugs covers the floor.
Frequently asked
Is the home measurement free?
Yes. We come to the house, measure the frame and quote from that. There is no charge for the visit and no obligation to order after it.
Do you sell ready-made sofa covers?
No. Loose covers off a shelf sag at the arms within a month. We sell upholstery cloth by the metre, measured against your own sofa and stitched to fit it.
Can curtains and sofa covers be done in the same visit?
Yes, and it is easier that way. Tell us on the call how many windows and whether the sofa is a three-plus-two or an L, so we bring the right samples.
Should I change the foam as well as the cover?
If the sofa has gone soft, yes. Recovering it without changing the foam gives you a better-looking sofa that is still uncomfortable. We keep foam in all densities.
