What has just come in
नया स्टॉकStock at a cloth shop is not a fixed catalogue. Sarees arrive in small lots, sell through, and are not repeated. If you saw something here three weeks ago and it is gone, that is normal — ask and we will tell you what has replaced it.
This page is the closest thing we keep to a shelf report. It is written by hand rather than pulled from a system, so treat it as a guide to what is on the wall this month, not a live count.
new stock on the wallFestive and wedding stock
The heaviest buying of the year lands between Navratri and the wedding dates that follow it. Banarasi and Kanjivaram silk come in first, followed by the lighter georgette and net pieces that sell for sangeet and reception functions.
- Banarasi silk — new zari borders in the wedding weights, and lighter Banarasi in daytime colours for family functions.
- Kanjivaram — contrast-border pieces in the traditional temple shades.
- Maheshwari and Chanderi — the Madhya Pradesh weaves, restocked ahead of the festive dates. Maheshwari is woven about sixty kilometres from Khargone.
- Georgette, chiffon and net — party-wear drapes for evening functions.
- Bridal and festive lehengas — the range is at its widest now and narrows quickly once the wedding dates begin.
- Fancy blouse pieces — worked and embellished pieces to pair while the saree is still in front of you.
If you are buying for a fixed date, message us before you travel. We will tell you what is actually on the shelf rather than what is usually on it. Full range on the sarees and women’s wear page, and the buying guide if you are deciding between weaves.
Curtains, bedding and floor
Home furnishing moves on a different calendar to clothing. New curtain and upholstery books arrive ahead of the festive cleaning season, when most households redo a room.
- Curtain designs — the sample books run past two thousand designs, with new titles added each season.
- Blinds and roman blinds — fresh swatches, measured and fitted at your home.
- Wallpaper — new print books for a single feature wall or a full room.
- Sofa and cushion cloth — new upholstery ranges on the sofa cover counter.
- Bedding — bedsheets, dohars and comforters ahead of the cold, and branded mattresses through the year.
- Kalin and dari — floor pieces and doormats restocked before the festive season.
